The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works for Journal of Mashlahah Journal of Islamic Economics, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted. Plagiarism takes many forms, from 'passing off' another's paper as the author's own paper, to copying or paraphrasing substantial parts of another's paper (without attribution), to claiming results from research conducted by others. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
The Mashlahah Journal of Islamic Economics Editor applies the plagiarism provisions carefully. Every sentence and word in the manuscript is examined in close detail, by excluding references or methods (parts that are often very similar to what have been published in other papers) about 15 percent is acceptable. Some sentences that are definitions (for example the definition of innate immunity) are of course used repeatedly, and plagiarism in those sentences is difficult to avoid but is generally accepted. Plagiarism screening will be conducted by Mashlahah Journal of Islamic Economics's editor using Plagiarism Checker X Pro and Turnitin.
